The Zonders

The Zonders is an international artistcollective founded by Dieter Dunkel & Wolfgang 3000. Influenced by different styles of music it is their style to bond surrealism and society in a sort of cool but kitsch 80's theme. Or if you like you could call them retro futurists but i have never really liked that term.

The work they create is dominantly logos and vinyl art for electro bands which follow the same retro futuristic ethos. This works really well and boost their creativity as the music and image connect, to the piece whole.

They work closely with the french music blog The Valerie Collective who have been turning me onto fabulous mixes and opening new doors to music which i would otherwise shy away from.

Damien Correll

Originally from Philadelphia, Damien Correll is a designer/illustrator/maker living and working in Brooklyn, NY. Formerly a member of the Rad Mountain collective, Correll is now a creative partner at the small design studio, Part & Parcel.

His work has been featured in a variety of publications including in the pages of New York Magazine, XLR8R, Juxtapoz, IdN, STEP, NOVUM, The New York Times Magazine and Faesthetic.

His work has a beautiful sense of nievaty about it, along with a really persuded style. I think i may have found Jeffery Bowman's and Andy J. Miller's main source of inspiration?

Craig Ward

Craig Wards site Words are Pictures features some of his heavilly typographic designs. He specialises in typographic treatments and using lettersets to create posters, prints and lots of other printed items.

Frida Larios

I was looking through issue 66 of ISTD Typographic magazine and found this little Gem of a designer, Frida Larios is an associate lecturer at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London and is Ideas Frescas Director. Have a look at the New Maya Hieroglyphs.

Keetra Dean Dixon

fromkeetra is the magnificent site from Keetra Dean Dixon. Who creates some really nice hand made items, which are then backed up with beautiful typography to to make some stunning work.

Shawn Turnball

Shaun Turnbull Studied at bath spa uni, and has prievously created some really nice graphic works including a print for the succesfull "500" project undertaken by Jack Crossing and Andy Toplisek.

Si Scott

I first saw Si Scott's work in issue 13 of Stranger Magazine. Hand draw flourishes and lovely typography.

Non-Format

Non-Format is the creative team of Kjell Ekhorn and Jon Forss. They work on a range of projects including art direction, design and illustration for arts & culture, music industry and fashion and advertising clients. They also art direct Varoom: the journal of illustration and made images.

Akatre

From what i can figure out Akatre is a french collective who create some inspiring conceptual work.

Mr Cartoon

Mr Cartoon is a well renowned tattoo artist from L.A. His Graffiti and off skin artwork is also very impressive. I found the image above on his website which also has a host of really nice photographs taken by Estevan Oriol who I featured a couple of days ago. If your into tattoos and dont know this guy, you should!

Leslie David

Yet another Indexhibit site. Again with some lush work inside from Leslie David, Some really nice graphic design work accompanied with some really nice illustrations.

Andrei Robu

Andrei Robu has a portfolio full of colourful and exciting graphic design with some really nice experimental typography.

Aesthetic Apparatus

Aesthetic Apparatus was founded around 1999 in Madison, Wisconsin by Dan Ibarra and Michael Byzewski as a fun side project from their "real" jobs. The vintage feel of their screenprinted posters and illustrations are popular among many music and design nerds. Racking up clients such as Stella Artois, Frank Black, creative review and also featuring in the book New Vintage Type: Classic Fonts For The Digital Age.

Bexi Harris

Bexi Harris studied Graphic communication with Typography and graduated in good old Plymouth at Plymouth University. I saw her work on show at the Uni exhibition, the project titled "love letters" explores Bexi's love for letters. I particularly enjoyed her use of bright colours and contemporary type.

Shaz Madani

As part of the upcoming YCN LIVE, six of the most skilled and friendly emerging creatives are available to work on a project of your choosing. Each has been handpicked as a leading up-and-coming practitioner in their field, ready to be briefed and put to work.

Shaz Madani is one of these creatives, with some really intriguing work on her portfolio site and some great ideas, defiantly the person id bid for.

MrBowlegs

This chap is Jeffrey Bowman a.k.a. MrBowlegs and he has just uploaded a new site, which is full of interesting designs, shapes and typography, Mr.Bowlegs also creates electronic music under the name of ICT [Information Communication Technology]. I have noticed that i am a little scared of miss spelling mrbowlegs.

Bunch Design

I was directed to the Bunch Design website today and found some pretty sweet stuff. Really tidy design work. I also found some screenprinted wonders.

Oh Yeah Studio

Hans Christian of Oh Yeah Studio has some cool work online, also like the layout of his site and the cool header typography. One good week of blogging followed by a bad one, im sorry.
