Alberto Hernandez

Alberto Hernandez completed his MA at London College of Communication last year, i spotted this awsome Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde Letterpress on his web site, the subject matter of this project was to make a poster using letterpresss printing methods about the number two. The idea is based on lenticular images which consist of two perspectives split into interspersed stripes. The story of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde suites the brief perfectly.

Telegramme studio

London based Telegramme Studio is an interactive, illustration and editorial design studio, they also offer a short-run and bespoke screenprinting service. I was directed to this site by Tina at Inspiring, pretty, beautiful things, the screenprints are something to drool over if your a fan of the squeegee silk screen process. Be sure to take a look.

Because Studio

A clever and querky take on the infamous "Glass empty, Glass full"; these posters show an A2 sheet printed with ink that covers 50% of the paper making each poster either half full or half empty depending on your inclination.

Because Studio is the freelance design practice of Loz Ives, a young designer from the UK.

Dan Mumford

Dan Mumford is a freelance illustrator/designer/screenprinter working out of his studio in central London. Dan has worked for a variety of punk and heavy metal bands creating gig posters, apparel and CD/vinyl designs.

Aesthetic Apparatus

Aesthetic Apparatus was founded around 1999 in Madison, Wisconsin by Dan Ibarra and Michael Byzewski as a fun side project from their "real" jobs. The vintage feel of their screenprinted posters and illustrations are popular among many music and design nerds. Racking up clients such as Stella Artois, Frank Black, creative review and also featuring in the book New Vintage Type: Classic Fonts For The Digital Age.

I was directed to the Bunch Design website today and found some pretty sweet stuff. Really tidy design work. I also found some screenprinted wonders.

The Small Stakes

The Small Stakes have done some really nice band posters and album art over the years for plenty of well know artists. On their site there is a good collection.

Gigposters

www.gigposters.com has some really nice posters featured, by lots of different artist, some of which are for sale. There is so much content on this site i just looked at many for over an hour. simply pic a designer out of the millions or a band you like and see some cool art work. I’m a big fan of sea creatures, especially the squid. So naturally I was drawn to this art print by Thomas Boucher, “The Squid and the Cachalot”. Seriously soo much on here!
