Sarah Roesink

We dont get the chance to post many photographers work; so it was great that Sarah happened to email us a link to her site. Based in London, Sarah graduated from the MA course in Communication Design (pathway photography) at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 2008 and has since had her work featured in Grafik magazine. An overall exciting portfolio of work that ranges from landscapes and interiors to fashion photography.

Josh Greet

Drew Turner has just finished this lovely new website for plymouth based photography student Josh Greet. Josh has some really nice atmospheric film shots, which are definitely worth a look. I can see him blowing up a little in the future and cannot help but compare his work to Anna Wolf the fashion and lifestyle photographer who has taken amazing photographs for clients such as Urban Outfitters, MTV and more recently, Target.

Montague Projects

To know the spiders is a project by New York based designer Julian Montague. For this project Montague collected various spiders in a jar and studied their face under a microscope, a drawing is made into a template and the portrait is cut out of felt and attached to a piece of cloth, the cloth is made into a banner, hung and photographed in the spot where the spider was found. A collection of various photographs is compiled and made into an installation which was held at the Black & White Gallery, New York, 2008.

Seif al'Hasani

I was torn between showing a piece of this guys illustration or his photography because both work is very strong. I decided on the piece above because I have a soft spot for murals. Seif al'Hasani is originally from Bagdad and studied Illustration at London College of Communication, he now works as a freelance designer.

Popel Coumou

Popel Coumou is a photographer from the Netherlands. The work is a collection of images that look as if they have been sketched onto paper or cut out and pasted, all together quite ghostly.

Gemma Booth

Gemma Booth has such a nice portfolio of work so many beautiful pictures of beautiful people and the web site is really nice too, designed by Yes Studio. Go and have a look.

Stacey Hatfield

I found out about Stacey Hatfield's work through a love of the band Tubelord. There is some really nice photography on her site.

Amy Stein

Amy Stein is a photographer and teacher based in New York City. Her work explores our evolving isolation from community, culture and the environment. In 2006, Amy was a winner of the Saatchi Gallery/Guardian Prize for her Domesticated series.

Mariel Lebron

The Mariel Lebron website holds some really interesting and clever design combined with beautiful and sometimes thought provoking imagery. The "Shot" page has some really stunning spacious photography. I also really like the logo, a rainbow filled bird sat upon the Mariel Lebron logotype.

Estevan Oriol

Estevan Oriol is Photographer/Director from Los Angeles. Estevan has directed music videos for the likes of Blink 182, Cypress Hill, and Eminem. He has also racked up a very impressive client list which include The Face and GQ.

I am a fan of his photography purely because its so raw! It seems to capture the mood, style and attitude of the subject rather than, say; the perfect angle for the photographer.

I also seem to be on a Blink 182 listening binge at the moment and remembered that it was Estevan that took the photography and helped design the sleeve for their last album.

Jamie Dobson

CBGB's

There are some pretty neat photos on the CBGB website, check them out by clicking here. Ever seen it on a t shirt and wondered what CBGB actually stands for?...

The question most often asked of me is, "What does CBGB stand for?"
I reply, "It stands for the kind of music I intended to have, but not the
kind that we became famous for: COUNTRY BLUEGRASS BLUES."
The next question is always, "but what does OMFUG stand for?" and I say
"That's more of what we do, It means OTHER MUSIC FOR UPLIFTING
GORMANDIZERS." And what is a gormandizer? It's a voracious eater of,

Thrasher

Being a skateboarder myself, and having done it for over 8 years I have quite a collection of skateboarding videos and magazines. Thrasher magazine has always been the core skate-mag and one of the first of its kind. Here are some images form the very first thrasher magazine, published January 1981.
